Doris Schneider

Doris Schneider, age 77 of Wild Rose, passed away peacefully with her husband of 54 years by her side Sunday afternoon, January 1, 2012 at Wild Rose Manor.
She was born April 7, 1934 in Germany, the daughter of Franz and Maria Mallee. Doris moved to the United States when she was 19 and settled in Milwaukee where she worked and took classes at the University of Wisconsin.
Doris was united in marriage to Conrad Schneider and they moved to Waushara County in 1967, ultimately making their home in the Mt. Morris area. She held many responsible positions throughout her working life, until she found her life's work as an office manager for Dr. Poullette, DDS. During her 28 years at this position, patients were not just patients, but rather friends. Doris and her husband Conrad were avid water skiers, generously sharing their expertise with the next generation. Some of Doris' many interests include cooking, shelling and snorkeling at Ft. Myers' beaches, crafting and reading. She appreciated nature in its many forms, from birds that came to their feeder to star gazing to isolated country cemeteries.
Doris will be remembered for her humor, love of history, especially local history and everything in nature.
Doris leaves behind her loving and faithful husband Conrad Schneider of Wild Rose, one brother Reinhard Mallee of Germany, other relatives and many, many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma.
