Donald E. Wilcox, Sr. age 95, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 27, 2011 at Juliette Manor in Berlin.
He was born on November 16, 1915 in Mimilo, Canada, the son of L.F. and H.M. (Teasdale) Wilcox. He married Glendora Carnevale on December 9, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. She preceded him in death on January 13, 1971.
Donald served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1946 as a Military Policeman. During his service he received the American Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He is survived by his children, Donald Wilcox, Jr. and Reta (Charles) Cook; three grandsons, Charles, Joseph and Robert and one great-grandchild, Danny. He is further survived by one brother Keith Wilcox, friends Marlene Stockinger, Marie (Phil) Burgess, John Dix, other relatives and friends.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 9 until 11am at the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:00pm.
