Donald C. Santosky, age 87, of Wautoma, passed away Monday evening, January 20, 2014, at his home surrounded by dear friends. He was born August 9, 1926 in Pine River, the son of Arthur J. and Evelyn G. (Timm) Santosky. Donald was a 1945 graduate of Wild Rose High School. He farmed near Pine River and later in the Town of Wautoma for many years. In the late 1950's, Donald was a volunteer Civil Defense coordinator for Waushara County. He enjoyed spending time with Bob Van and riding along on wrecker calls. He also loved playing baseball in his younger years. Donald will be fondly remembered for his dedication in caring for his parents for many years. He is survived by his niece, Georgia Lee (Jim) Laird, Aurora, CO; grandniece, Robyn (Michael) Bond, Fort Collins, CO; grandnephew, Scott (Kelly) Laird, Combined Locks; great grandniece and great grandnephew, Stephanie and Michael; his cousins, Nathan Timm, Mazomanie and Sean Timm of Plainfield. He is further survived by other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by one sister, LaVern Hansen. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.
at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. Sam Timm officiating. Burial will be at Mount Morris Holden Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of services.
