Donald R. Lewerenz, age 79, formerly of Wautoma, passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 6, 2011 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. He was born Jan. 4, 1932 in Neillsville, the son of Carl and Elsie (Pruess) Lewerenz. He married the former Kathleen J. Hansen on June 1, 1957 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2001. Don served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He
was employed as a machinist at Eaton Controls Corp. in Milwaukee for many years until his retirement. He was an active member of Waushara/Wautoma Senior Citizens. He is survived by two sons, Daniel (Bonnie) Lewerenz, Milwaukee,
Kevin (Lori) Lewerenz, Hortonville; four grandchildren, Cheryl, Erin, Jason, and Caitlyn; one sister, Velda Jean (Willis) Volz, Neillsville. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, David and Rheinhard; one sister, Lorraine. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Flowers at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma and at the Chapel of the Flowers in Brookfield from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
