Donald Hansen

Donald P. Hansen, age 73, of Hancock, passed away Thursday morning, March 8, 2012 at his home. He was born November 28, 1938 in Milwaukee, the son of Donald G. and Marion A. (Palmer) Hansen. He married the former Marjory L. Brakke on March 24, 1973. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2004. He married Patty (Osborn) Orton on February 29, 2012. Don was employed as a machinist at Rockwell International in Oshkosh for many years until his retirement. He was a proud member of UAW Local 291 in Oshkosh. Don loved the outdoors and enjoyed gun and bow hunting along with fly fishing. He belonged to The Association of Old Anglers and various other Derelicts and Liars. Don was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, Ruffed Grouse, and the Richford Game Club. He will be fondly remembered for his support of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, Patty Orton; one son, Donald W. (Lori) Hansen, Pewaukee; three grandchildren, Donald Jr., Margaret "Maggie", and Lindsey; one brother, Curt (Joanne) Hansen, Milwaukee; stepchildren, Cristina Lee Orton, Becky (Steve) Mischka, Greg (Cathy) Brakke, and Margo Brakke Schwandt. He is further survived by step grandchildren,
other relatives and dear friends. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
