Donald E. Bartram, age 75, of Hancock, passed away Friday evening, April 27, 2012 at Riverside Hospital in Waupaca.
He was born June 1, 1936 in Hancock, the son of Harvey and Lenore (Marshall) Bartram.
Donald served his country in the United States Army. Don owned and operated Don Bartram Trucking for several years. He also farmed in the town of Hancock for most of his life. Donald was later employed at Basic American Foods until his retirement. Don was a past member of the Hancock Volunteer Fire Department and also served as Deputy Sheriff for the Village of Hancock. He was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed flying and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Kurt D. (special friend, Kurt M. Sperle) Bartram, Mesa, AZ.; his daughter-in-law, Lori Bartram, Hancock; his grandchildren, Amy Bartram, Neenah, Brandie (Tyler Lucht) Bartram, Plainfield, Dustin Bartram, Hancock; his great grandchildren, Lily Alice Lucht, Plainfield and future great granddaughter, Hallie Marie Lucht; his brother, James (Carol) Bartram, Beloit; three sisters, his twin sister, Dorothy Lamb, Hancock, Carol (special friend, Jim Lambert) Grundy, Franklin, Diane Hill, Plainfield; further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ricky E. Bartram; his sister-in-law, Audrey Bartram, and brothers-in-law, Robert Hill and Chuck Lamb.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
