Dolores Jane (Newhall) Glaman, age 85, of Hancock Township, passed away on Friday October 28, 2016 at her home.
Dolores was born at home to Gertrude E. (Parson) Newhall and Harry A. Newhall on March 24, 1931. She attended school in Hancock until the consolidation of the school districts, graduating from Tri-County High School in 1949. She married Richard (Dick) William Glaman on July 10, 1954 in Hancock. Dolores graduated from the Wisconsin State Teachers College in Stevens Point, WI in 1953. She worked in Hortonville, Schullsburg, Shiocton, and Hancock in the years after graduation, teaching art and home economics. She also taught in the Milwaukee Public School system, as well as adult sewing classes through the YWCA.
Dolores most enjoyed camping and traveling with Dick throughout the United States. She was especially fond of sharing time with close relatives and friends of the family.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Dick.
She is survived by daughters Lynn Stiglich and husband Ron, Lauren Mann and husband Robert, sons Richard N. Glaman, Roderick A. Glaman, Ronald W. Glaman and wife Loreen (Tryba), and her beloved dog Tanner. Grandchildren include Derrick Glaman and Brittany (Woyak), Ryan Glaman and Amy (Bourassa), Larissa Stiglich, Michael Mann, Seth Stiglich, William Mann, Nicole Mann. Her great-grandchildren are Nathaniel and Jefferson Glaman.
Cremation will be undertaken by Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma.
No services will take place at this time.
Memorials may be given to the Humane Society.
