Diane L. Alverson, age 57, of Plainfield, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 a t University Hospital in Madison.
She was born March 3, 1953 in Stevens Point, the daughter of Harland and Helen (Christensen) Smith. She married James T. Alverson on November 6, 1971 in Almond.
Diane was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Almond and its Ladies aid. She was a member of the Town of Oasis Election Board for many years. Diane enjoyed the outdoors, especially watching birds, gardening, flowers, crafting and reading. Diane was currently employed at Cardinal Glass of Portage.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, James T. Alverson, Plainfield; her sister and brothers, Barbara (Dave) Trader, Amherst, Larry (Colleen) Smith, Amherst, Dale Smith, Almond; special cousin, Phyllis Warden, Plover; her to dachshunds puppies, Duke and Willie; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, Almond. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
