Denise Hunt

Denise E. Hunt, age 48, of Plover, formerly of Bancroft, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 29, 2011 at St. Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point with her family by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born August 2, 1962 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point the daughter of Donald and Kathleen (Wallner) Lamb. She married Jeffrey Hunt in 1983 in Almond, they later divorced.
Denise graduated from Almond-Bancroft High School in 1980. She later received her Associates Degree from Mid-State Technical College. Denise worked in the Almond-Bancroft School District as a Teacher's Aide and a Bus Driver. She also worked many years as a Safety Director for Golden County Foods in Plover.
Denise gave motivational speeches on cancer awareness and was honorary bat girl for the Milwaukee Brewers on behalf of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She gave selflessly to her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Kailee (fiancée Travis Borchert), Madison; Dusty (Brooke Zepnick), Bancroft; her parents, Donald (Kathleen) Lamb, Almond; one sister Debbie (Bob Jensen) Cummings, Hancock; nephews Shad (Melina) Cummings, Brent (fiancée Sarah Brockman) Cummings; great-niece Macie Cummings, great-nephew Mason Sigourney; other relatives and many dear friends.
Denise was preceded in death by her grandparents and two infant brothers, James and Keith Lamb.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11:00am in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of the services at the Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Ministry Health Care Cancer Services in Stevens Point and Marshfield as well as the staff at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point for their care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Denise Hunt Benefit.
