David Johannes

David Michael Johannes age 29, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

He was born December 17, 1990 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Mary Johannes. He married Megan M. Reilly on October 6, 2017.

David graduated Wautoma High School in 2009. He was a 2013 graduate of The Ohio State University in Columbus where he dual majored in Criminology and Criminal Justice and minored in Security and Intelligence. He was employed at Redgranite Correctional from 2013 until 2015 when he transferred to Oshkosh Correctional Institution. Later, he was employed by the Wisconsin State Patrol before returning to Oshkosh Correctional. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and trapshooting.

He is survived by his wife, Megan M. Johannes; canine companions, Gatsby and Chuck; his mother, Mary Johannes, of Ohio; six siblings;  aunts, uncles, cousins; parents-in-law, Kevin (Dawn) Reilly, Wautoma, Dee Dee (Marshall) Bales, Oshkosh; sister-in-law, Alyssa Reilly, Oshkosh; grandparents-in-law, Harvey and Dolores Reilly, Wautoma. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
