David Hosen, age 53, of Hancock, passed away Friday afternoon, December 18, 2009 at Manor Care in Appleton after a battle with long term health conditions.
He was born November 21, 1956 in Chicago, the son of Richard and Ann Marie (Steiner) Hosen.
David was a fun loving guy who could talk like nobody else. He enjoyed his many collectables, swimming, dabbling in fireworks and conversing with friends new and old. Dave touched many lives with his "gift to gab" and was truly unforgettable. His compassion for life showed through in all he did. He was a big guy with even a bigger heart.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Shelley (Pete) McLain, Grand Marsh, Ed Hosen, Alex Hosen, Steve Hosen and Cathy (Chris) Truehl, all of Hancock; nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Peter Heinzen) McLain-Heinzen, Portland, OR., Tricia McLain, Grand Marsh, Nic, Zac, Brad, Ben Truehl and Valerie Hosen, all of Hancock. Further survived by other relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert and an infant sister, Roxanne.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. A dinner will follow at the Hancock Community Center.
