David N. Halom, age 74, of Hancock, passed away Sunday morning July 6, 2014 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
He was born May 23, 1940 in Beloit, the son of Lyle and Abbalone Halom. He married Charlene E. Lincoln on May 13, 1978 in Beloit.
Mr. Halom served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1972. He later served in the National Guard from 1972 to 1979. David was later employed at the Beloit Corporation until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the Rogers-Oestreich American Legion Post 343 of Hancock and Coloma; He was life member of the Plainfield/Waushara VFW Post 6007 of Plainfield and a member of the HAVA, Hancock.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene E. Halom, Hancock; his stepchildren, Robert (Terri) Lincoln, Thomas (Peggy) Lincoln, Pamela Lincoln, Toni Hammerschmitt; one brother, Donald Halom; one sister, Diane Kosak; three step grandchildren and one step great granddaughter; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Donna Vance .
