Dale Sweeney

Dale Sweeney, age 51, of Plainfield, passed away Tuesday evening, January 22, 2013 following a struggle with stomach cancer. He was born July 30, 1961 in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of Anthony and Bernice (Dillingham) Sweeney Sr. Dale was a loving father and a good man. He was very proud of his three children. He loved fishing, yard work and spending time with his daughter, Joni. Dale also enjoyed taking long nature walks. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Joni Sweeney, Wautoma; two stepsons, Dean and Keith, both of Stevens Point. Dale is further survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home with Rev. Sarah Timian officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
