Dale A. Meyer, age 72, of Wautoma, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh from Covid-19.
He was born September 2, 1949 in Berlin, the son of Arthur G. and Mabel I. (Groskreutz) Meyer. He married Christine P. Zager on December 4, 1976 at Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma.
Dale attended school at Wautoma and helped farm the family homestead in the town of Deerfield. Later, he founded Dale’s Lock & Key and Sharpening service in Wautoma which he operated for the past 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, Christine P. Meyer, Wautoma; six children, Kathy (Mark) Bongert, Neshkoro, Robert Meyer (Tanya Hartung), Hancock, Allyn (Crystal) Meyer, Wautoma, Lisa Packard, Minnesota, Mark Meyer, Neshkoro, and Mary (William II) Swan, Westfield; 10 grandchildren, Carter, Madalyn, Morgan and Andrew Meyer, Cocheta (Jason) DeGodt, Hataya Packard (Tyler Wilson), Jared Packard, Ashley Oiler (Chris House), Kevin and William Swan III. Two great grandchildren, Noah and Maverick; one br0ther, Delmar Meyer, Wautoma; two sisters, Carol Dahnke, Oshkosh, Clarice (Rodger) Krueger, Neshkoro. He is further survived nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends along with many customers.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dennis, Darrell and Dean; sister-in-law, Karleen Meyer; brother-in-law, Henry Dahnke.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Waushara Community Church in Wautoma with Rev. R. Alan Spitler officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.
