Clifford Arden Bliske, age 85, of Wautoma, died peacefully, Thursday evening, August 10, 2023 surrounded by his family at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin.
He was born March 15, 1938 in the Town of Dakota, Waushara County, the son of Walter and Pearl (Fink) Bliske. He married Delores H. Raatz on July 31, 1965 at Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma.
Clifford served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 until 1963. He worked at the former Kieckhafer Box Company in Wild Rose. Later, he was employed at Speed Queen in Wautoma, Omro and Ripon for many years until his retirement in 2001. He was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church where he served as an Elder and Usher. Clifford enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He and his wife enjoyed attending many polka dances throughout the years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Delores H. Bliske, Wautoma; two sons, Brian (Jamie) Bliske, Larsen, David Bliske (Sandra Rodriguez), Redgranite; three grandchildren, Claire, Trevor and Taylor Bliske; three brothers-in-law, Darwin (Donna) Raatz, Borth, Donald (Luanne) Raatz, Green Lake, Carl Woodrich, Almond; one sister-in-law, Diane (Martin “Marty”) Bongert, Redgranite. He is further survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Mildred Zager, Ruby Johnson, Janet Woodrich and Jane Bliske; one brother, Donald Bliske.
Funeral services will be held at Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Pastor Tom Klusmeyer officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Wautoma Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
