Clarence Eugene Bradley left to join the angels on July 20, 2012. He was surrounded by those he loved and who loved him. Clarence was born on August 25, 1925 in Auroraville, WI to Clarence and Marion Bradley (Fredrickson). He graduated Wild Rose High School in 1942 and always looked forward to the reunions. He married Betty VanAirsdale on November 22, 1947 and enjoyed 54 years and a lifetime of memories. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2002.
Clarence took great pride in being a veteran. He served in WWII as a gunner's mate from 1943 to 1946 on tour in the South Pacific. He was privileged this past year to participate in the Freedom Flight for Veterans to Washington D.C. It was an amazing journey and he spoke of the experience often. Clarence was a member of the V.F.W. since 1982. He had different careers during his lifetime, but his passion was driving semi truck. He retired from Schneider Tank Lines in 1978. Clarence was one of five siblings and is survived by his sister Gloria (Gene) Stenson. Oshkosh He was preceded in death by his other siblings Virginia (William) Holman, Lois (Maynard) Wolter, Gordon (Stephana) Bradley and Betty (Gene) Kubeny, and last to soon grandson Tyler Bradley. His children and grandchildren and great grandchildren were a constant source of great joy and pride. He is survived by four children Gary (Jan) Bradley; Wild Rose. Shirley (Herb) Melchert; Little Chute. Donna (Joe) Walter; Hancock. Mike (Kathy) Hansen; Pine River. He is further survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends and special friend and companion Mabel Schwalenberg, who has been a constant positive in his life for the past nine years. Clarence was always willing to extend a helping hand whether it be to family, friend, or a stranger. He touched the lives of so many throughout his years, and will forever be remembered for the generosity which he shared his kindness and his love and support for family. We will miss the endless jokes that always amused, and the stories that spewed forth endless like an erupting volcano. He brought humor into the brightest and darkest moments. Visitation will be Tuesday July 24th from 9-11 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Saxeville, Wi with Pastor Vicky Fink officiating. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. directly followed by burial at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers and a memorial fund has been established
