Chris E Mandeik, age 90, of Wild Rose, WI passed away Wednesday, August 4 at ThedaCare-Wild Rose, surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with kidney failure. Chris was born in Tomahawk, WI on July 16, 1931. He was the son of the late Chris S. Mandeik and Josephine B. Mandeik. On July 14, 1951, Chris married the love of his life, his “little lady,” Eunice J Mandeik in Wautoma, WI.
Chris joined the United States Army in 1951. He was honorably discharged in 1954 after serving in Korea. Chris was a carpenter, mechanic, Milwaukee Brewer baseball fanatic, problem solver, woodsman, and biggest cheerleader and fan of his kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, never missing a school or sports event. Chris enjoyed all things outdoors, old tractors and tinkering in his garage.
He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Denzer, Wild Rose, daughter-in-law: Debra Mandeik, Grandchildren: Scotty(Brenda) Mandeik, Redgranite, Kerry(Rick) Lehman, Redgranite, Travis Mandeik, Redgranite, Mandy(Nick) Friday, Redgranite, Teri(Tom) Schmidt, Iola, Kris(Jamie) Denzer, Wautoma, 24 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Eunice J Mandeik, one daughter Debra Lynn Mandeik, one son, Scotty Mandeik, Mother, Josephine B Mandeik, and Father, Chris S. Mandeik.
In honoring Chris’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Military honors at Union Cemetery in Wautoma are being planned for his immediate family.
