Chester C. Blader was born on May 3, 1943, in the Town of Dakota to Charles and Louise Blader.
He graduated from Wautoma High School in 1961.
Chester entered the United States Army in 1962 and was duty stationed in Hanau, Germany. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1964 and served thereafter in the National Guard. Chester’s service to his country made a profound impact upon him and left him with some of the fondest memories of his lifetime.
After completing his military service, he returned home to his family’s dairy farm. He married Janice Rose Pierotti on October 16th, 1971 and they had three children together. Chester farmed with his brother James Blader for 51 years in the Town of Dakota.
Chester was known for his gentle smile, mild manner, quick wit and insatiable sweet tooth. He loved spending time with his grandchildren on the farm. He was a true patriot who loved his country and never missed an opportunity to fly his beloved red, white and blue.
Chester is survived by his loving wife Janice Blader, his three sons, Andy, Scott (Julie), and Joseph; nine grandchildren- Josh, Kaylee, Samantha, Eden, Erin, Everly, Elena, Elyssa, and Jackson, all of the Town of Dakota.
He is also survived by many other relatives, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
The Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma assisted the family with the arrangements.
A special thank you to Steve and Tracy Sattler of Poy Sippi and also to Pastor Larry Rieck of the United Methodist Church of Neshkoro.
