Charles D. Wolover, age 92, of Wautoma, passed away Thursday morning, December 16, 2010 at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 22, 1918 in Morristown, Minnesota the son of Joseph A. and Margaret M. (Thorburn) Wolover. He married Carol B. Holmes on December 5, 1943 in Wautoma. She preceded him in death after 62 years of marriage on September 20, 2006.
Mr. Wolover was Past Worshipful Master of Wautoma Lodge 148 F.&A.M., and Past Worthy Patron of Wautoma Chapter 198 Order of the Eastern Star, and member of York Rite, Scottish Rite and Zor Shrine. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps in the European Theatre during World War II.
Charles was employed at the former Waushara Electric Cooperative and then Trempealeau Electric of Arcadia until his retirement.
He is survived by two sons, Arthur (Patricia) Wolover, Jonesboro, AR., David (Amber) Wolover, Cambridge, WI; one daughter, Lucinda (Alfred) Ottusch, Bridgman, MI; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, M. Jeanette Arveson, Wautoma; a brother-in-law, Clyde (Marilyn) Holmes, Oshkosh; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his caregiver Deborah LaSusa.
Order of Eastern Star and Masonic Services will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wautoma Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
