Cecil D. Clements, Sr., age 76 of Neshkoro, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 15, 2011 at his residence after a long and lengthy illness.
He was born October 6, 1935 in Smithville, Arkansas the son of Dalph and Zora (Bratcher) Clements. He married Clara Bailey in 1961 in Rockford, Illinois. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2008.
Cecil was a Machine Repairman for Sundstrands for most of his life. He was actively involved in the Rockford Lions Bingo where he was a caller and was also President at the Rockford Eagles Club and the Vice President of the UAW-592 union in the early 1980s. Cecil was always on the go and enjoyed the Princeton Flea Market, traveling to the Casino, fishing and collecting many, many things. He was also actively involved in volunteering at the Waushara County Food Pantry for 14 years and he worked for many area golf courses. His sense of humor and kind heart will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Cecil is survived by his loving companion of nearly 14 years and caregiver, Virginia Ustarbowski; his children; Patricia Dailey, Ron Clements, Cecil Clements, Jr, Cindy Babcock and Ben Bailey; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Melva Miller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A celebration of Cecil's Life will take place at the Princeton American Legion Hall on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 7:00pm with Chaplain Pam Werth officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
