Catherine Murry

November 15, 1920 — March 10, 2012

Catherine "Kay" Murry, age 91 formerly of Wautoma and Milwaukee, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Preston Place in Redgranite.

She was born on November 15, 1920 in Linton, North Dakota the daughter of Adam and Margaret (Weisbeck) Scherr. She married Robert R. Murry on September 27, 1947 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1997.

Kay was a Sales Clerk at numerous department stores in the Milwaukee area for most of her life. She and her husband moved to Wautoma in 1983 from Milwaukee. She enjoyed tending to her garden and beautiful flowers and crocheting many items. She was also a member of the Redgranite Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Dolores "Dee" Nerbun, Pewaukee and Carol Slapinski, Oshkosh; 6 grandchildren Amy (Greg) Waring, Emily (Tim) Agee, Patrick (fiancé Liz Agnew) Nerbun, Holly (special friend Devin Diessner) Nerbun, Craig (Jessie) Slapinski, Taylor Slapinski; 2 great-grandchildren, Zachary Waring and Ainsley Agee. She is further survived by 2 sisters, Dolores Lemmon and Mary Selzner, one brother-in-law Lee (Sharon) Murry, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Casper, Matt, Jimmy, and Joe Scherr and her sisters Clara Reed and Meg Rovge.

Funeral Services for Catherine Murry will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma at 11:00am with Rev. Robert Stegmann officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of services at the Church.
