Catharine Jones

Catharine A. Jones, age 86, of Wautoma, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 at Juliette Manor, Berlin. She was born Oct. 13, 1926 at Birchwood, WI the daughter of John and Anna (Walport) Egerstaffer. She married Leslie Thomas Jones on July 20, 1943 at Rice Lake, WI. He preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1974. She and her late husband resided near Rice Lake before moving to this area in 1950. They lived on a farm at Hwy 73 and County Road YY for many years. Katy worked in Berlin at the glove factories while her husband was employed at Chapman's Foundry in Berlin. She enjoyed doing ceramics which she sold at various craft sales in the area. Survivors include three children, Kathleen Akowski, Redgranite, Sharon Brown, Wautoma, John Jones, Wautoma; ten grandchildren, Kelly (Elizabeth) Wilson, Teresa (David) Brinkman, David Wilson, Brian Scott (Kathy) Wilson, Robert (Cherrie) Wilson, Nena (Anton) Genocchio, Leslie (Erica) Jones, Nathan Jones, Tom (Love) Laabs, and Tim Corbett; 16 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Egerstaffer, Sauk City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and by five siblings. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Family Church, 640 S. Water St. Wautoma with Rev. Dan Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Neshkoro. Visitation will be held at the Church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until

the time of services.
