Carolyn M. Stapleman, age 68 of Neshkoro, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018. She was born on June 21, 1950 in Racine to Donald and Delores (Jacobson) Spanske. On August 16, 1969 she married Thomas Stapleman at First Presbyterian Church in Racine. Carolyn worked as a Switch Board Operator for the Berlin Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, hunting, fishing and camping. Carolyn loved the outdoors and taking photos of wildlife. She also enjoyed socializing with all the people she ever met. Carolyn will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Carolyn is survived by her husband: Thomas Stapleman; children: Paula Bar-Din, Michael (Michelle) Stapleman; grandchildren: Alisha Pournaras, Ian Bar-Din, Jakob Bar-Din; great grandchildren: Elias and Niko Pournaras; sisters: Barbara Wadewitz, Cindy (Wayne) Larrabee; brothers: James (Vicki) Spanske, Randy (Doreen) Spanske, John (Pat) Spanske, Dan (Sandy) Spanske; mother-in-law: Elaine Stapleman; nephew: Todd Stapleman; sister-in-law: Nancy (Jim) Edwards and family; lifetime best friend: Mary Reed; close friends: John and Herta, Tess and Mario, Dell and Cherie, Colleen and Norlan, The Wednesday Groups, Senior Exercise Groups, Book Club Members and all her co-workers at the hospital; other relatives and many other friends…she loved you all. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law: Richard Stapleman; brothers-in-law: Jerry and Richard Stapleman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, Neshkoro. Officiating at the Mass will be Father Dale Grubba. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Monday from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM.
