Carl Thomas Adams, age 90, of Plover, formerly of Bancroft, died Friday, February 22, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 21, 1922 in Adams County to Harry and Belva (Salter) Adams. On August 15, 1942 he married Dorothy Callahan. Carl farmed in the Bancroft area and until moving to Plover in 2010. He also worked for North Central Irrigation Co. for 18 years. Carl enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years and was a Brewer fan. He also enjoyed a good game of cards but most of all enjoyed watching his grandchildren at their sporting events. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Carl is survived by his wife of 70 years: Dorothy Adams, Plover; children: Larry (Mary) Adams, Nancy (Gerald) Fletcher, both of Bancroft; grandchildren: Amber (Kevin) Progar, Patrick Adams, Amanda (fiancé, Matt Lawson)Fletcher, Jeffrey Fletcher; two great grandchildren; two brothers: Clare Adams, FL, Merle (Geri) Adams, Pickerel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was
preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Norma Christianson.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2PM at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Officiating at the service will be Chaplain Joanne Chase with burial to follow in the Plainfield Village Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the funeral home from 12 (NOON) until the time of service at 2PM.
