Bryce P. "Cob" Sigourney, age 84, of Hancock, passed away Sunday evening, February 7, 2010 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
He was born October 2, 1925 in Coloma, the son of Frank and Bertha (Pierce) Sigourney. He married Blanche G. Howard on November 15, 1952 in the United Church of Christ in Hancock.
Mr. Sigourney was employed for 37 years by the Port Edwards Paper Mill. Bryce was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Hancock and the Rogers Oestreich American Legion Post 343 of Coloma and Hancock. Bryce enjoyed dancing, playing horse shoe, cards, working in his garden, tending to his lawn, fishing, bowling and most of all visits from his family. Bryce was manager of little league and manager of Hancock Baseball Team for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Blanche Sigourney, Hancock; three sons, Mitchell (special friend, Patti) Sigourney, Plainfield, Kevin (Jackie) Sigourney, Coloma, Corey Sigourney, Coloma; two daughters, Eileen Sigourney, Oak Creek, Charlene (Jim) Small, Plainfield; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Sigourney, Hancock; Ten grandchildren, Nathan (Jenny) Sigourney and their children, Ben and Carson, Justin Sigourney, Matthew (Donna) Sigourney and their children, Hayden and Sammy, Melina (Shad) Cummings and their son, Mason, Riley and Kelsey Garcia, Branda (Pedro) Vieyra and their children, Jesus and Amara, Sydney Small, Claire, Ethan Sigourney; further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Edward F. Sigourney, a sister, Ida Norquist and brothers, Garth, Frank and Donald Sigourney.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Church of Christ, Hancock with the Rev. Yul Kwon officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Coloma.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
