Brett Mayfield

Brett Darr Mayfield, age 19, of Poplar Grove, IL, formerly of Plainfield, died on December 21, 2013 at Swedish America Hospital in Belvidere, IL. He was born on December 16, 1994 in Stevens Point to Peter "Leo" and Candice "Candi" Mayfield.



Brett is survived by his mother: Candice "Candi" (Joe Lopez) Mayfield; father: Peter "Leo" (Pam) Mayfield; siblings: Coty Mayfield, Ashley Gaye, Nicole Moen, Cierra Shultis, Davin Freezie, Mike Appleyard; grandparents: James and Georgette Bettis, Art and Sandra Kahn; aunts and uncles: John and Athea Nelson, Earl and Catherine Lewis, Billy and Tracie McCoy, Gregg and Michelle Trotti; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother: David Mayfield.



Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Howard Kruize with burial to follow ing the Plainfield Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9AM at the funeral home until the time of service at 11AM.
