Billy R. Basso, age 75, of Wautoma, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
He was born on October 21, 1936 in West Virginia, the son of John and Mary Basso. He married Roselyn Willems in 1959.
Billy served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He later owned his own business as a car mechanic and put up trade shows. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Billy's grandchildren meant the world to him and he will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Billy is survived by his wife Roselyn; three children, John (Lory) Basso, Debra (Greg) Evans and Julie (Rick) Withall; 12 grandchildren, Shannon (Thomas), Jimmy (Nicole), Ricky (Kali), Randy, Angelo (Caitlin), Russell, Anthony (Nicole), Jesse, Robert, Dominic, Giovanni and Reece; 4 great-grandchildren, Kayli, Weston, Korban, Brayden, and one on the way; his mother-in-law Loretta Willems, one sister and brother, Irene Pitzaferro and John (Christine) Basso; one brother-law Joe Aiello, other relatives and friends.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law Robert Willems, one sister Mary Lou Aiello, one brother-in-law Mike Pitzaferro and one niece, Melody.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
