Beverly Mitchell

April 1, 1935 — February 12, 2013

Beverly P. Mitchell, age 77, of Almond, died Tuesday evening, February 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.

Beverly was born on April 1, 1935 in Almond Township to Leonard B. and Nellie "Blanche" (Miltimore) Tubbs. Beverly was a longtime resident of the Almond area. She worked various areas in agriculture. She led a simple country life style. Her fondness of animals led her to establishing her mini farm, "Big Sky Ranch", in the Prairie Land Area of Almond, raising and showing quarter horses for many years. Beverly was a member of the AQHA and APHA. She enjoyed gardening, deer-rides with family, sunsets, playing cards with family, the autumn season, feeding birds and listening to her favorite singing artist, George Jones.

Beverly is survived by a sister: Colleen Sparks, WA; two sisters-in-law: Ruth Tubbs, Plainfield, Alice Tubbs, WA; two daughters: Beverly P. Sigourney, Wisconsin Dells, Colleen "Teena" (Douglas) Rehwinkel, Plainfield; ten grandchildren: Matthew (Donna) Sigourney, Melina (Shad) Cummings, Douglas A. (Diane), Buckie, Havin (Nicole), Norman, Jesus, Trevor, Seth and Cody Rehwinkel; many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her son: Jesus Cortinas; parents; brothers: Melvin, Buell, Harold, Adrial, Clifford Tubbs and sisters: Maxine, Kathleen and Arlene.

Funeral services will be held at 7pm on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Leikness-Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Howard Kruize. Burial will take place at a later date in Plainfield Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Leikness-Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield from 4pm until the time of service at 7pm.

A very special thank you to our family members who pitched in with extended chores and home cooked meals during Beverly's last days. A special thank you to "The Ladies" of Wautoma Cooperative Care, they are a blessing from God, and to Ministry Home Care / Hospice Services of Stevens Point for the wonderful service providers.
