Bernold Bohn

Bernold "Ben" M. Bohn, age 86, of Hancock, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 17, 2011 at Stevens Point Care Center.
He was born October 10, 1924 in Hancock, the son of Herman R. and Anna (Rathjen) Bohn. He married Joan Jewell on September 12, 1953 in Pine River.
Ben was the owner of Bohn Auto & Implement Sales and Services of Hancock. He also was also a cash crop farmer in the Hancock area for many years.
Ben was a lifelong member of Grace Deerfield Lutheran Church of Hancock where he served many different offices of the church. He will be remembered for his beautiful singing at weddings and funerals.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Bohn, Hancock; two daughters, Beth (Gary Macheel) Bohn, Los Angeles, CA, Dena Bohn, Mahtomedi, MN.; one son, Craig (Debra) Bohn, Kalispell, MT; one grandson, Caleb Bohn Hesch, Mahtomedi, MN.; one granddaughter, Paige Ingle, Austin, TX.; his sister, Verona (Steve) Gutowski, Georgetown, TX.; further survived by other relatives and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Anna Bohn, one brother Gerhardt Bohn and two sisters, Victoria Bohn and Sylvia Kamnetz.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Grace Deerfield Lutheran Church, Hancock with the Rev. Dale W. Bahls officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church.
