Benjemen Ernst Sr

Benjemen Louis Ernst Sr., age 73, of Wautoma, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Wm. S. Middleton VA Medical Center, Madison. He was born on June 7, 1939 in Helvetia Township, Waupaca County to Louis and Lucille (Pagel) Ernst. On July 2, 1960 he married Verdell M. Bushweiler in Wautoma. She preceded him in death. Benjemen worked as a long haul truck driver for many years. He was a lifelong resident of the Wautoma area. Benjemen is survived by his children: Linda (Charlie) Brownlow, Ben Jr. (Brooke McLarnan) Ernst, Daniel (Katherine) Ernst, all of Plainfield; grandchildren: Sarah (Bradley) Rothermel, Jamie Lipke, Stephanie (Kenneth) Meronk, Jacob Ernst, Tanya (Steve) Abrams; many great grandchildren; special friend: Marion Plato, Wautoma; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Lucille Ernst; wife: Verdell M. Ernst; sister: Beverly Groskeutz; brother: Billie Ernst and nephew: Mark Ernst. A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Eric Hambrock with burial at 10am on Friday, January 18, 2013 in Union Cemetery, Wild Rose. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 5pm until the time of service at 6pm at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma.
