Barbara Verburgt

Barbara's final battle with cancer came to an end Saturday evening, October 20, 2012. She left this world shielded with the love of all her family on her way to heaven to meet the ones she lost in this life. Things will not be the same here for those she left behind, but her loved ones will look forward with hope and faith to the day we all meet again as perfect beings in paradise. Barbara Jean was born May 25, 1958 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Daniel and Jo Ann (Malson) Verburgt Sr. She was employed at Copps of Wautoma for the past 25 years. She will be missed greatly by her sons, Troy and Casey; grandchildren, Ellie, Ethan, Athena, and Emilee; her parents, Daniel and Jo Ann Verburgt Sr.; one sister, Bonnie (David) Krause; two brothers, Dan (Rhonda) Verburgt, Matt (partner, Randy) Verburgt. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, many dear friends and by her little dog, Buster. She was preceded in death by Troy Leipzig on Dec. 3, 1974 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. Robert L. Stegmann officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma and on Thursday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A prayer service will be conducted at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
