Barbara Foster

January 23, 1937 — June 17, 2013

Barbara Jean Foster, age 76 of Hancock died on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital, Madison. She was born on January 23, 1937 in Rockford, IL to Frank and Ruth (Pomering) Schupbach. Barbara graduated from Tri-County High School and on March 8, 1957 she married George R. Foster in Ontario, WI. Barbara worked as a Librarian at Hancock Public Library, Clerk for Hancock Township but most importantly, a wife and mother. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and a 4-H Leader for many years. Barbara enjoyed reading, bowling and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Barbara is survived by her husband: George Foster, Hancock; children: Mark (Kellie) Foster, West Allis, Jeanne Jordan, Walnut Hill, IL, Mitchell Foster, Delavan; grandchildren: Carla (Jeff) Fields, Tulsa, OK, Meghan Foster, Greenfield, Jamie Foster, West Allis, Joshua Foster, Bozeman, MT, Travis Foster, Milwaukee, Allison Foster, Antioch, IL; great grandson: Gabriel Smith, Antioch, IL; brother: William "Buddy" (Sharon) Squires, Janesville; sister: Sally (Kyle) Zinter, Merrill; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father: Harvey Squires; son-in-law: Roger Jordan and nephew: Shaun Weiss.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Tom Gaudet with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Town of Coloma. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 9AM until the time of service at 11AM at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.
