Arvin A. Bohn, age 77, of Nekoosa, formerly of Coloma, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids. He was born May 12, 1932 in the Town of Deerfield, Waushara County, the son of Albert and Clara (Meyer) Bohn. Arvin grew up on the family farm in Hancock. He graduated from Wautoma High School in 1950. Arvin served with the Military Police in the U.S. Army until 1955. He married Mary Wray Foster on Sept. 1, 1957. Mr. Bohn drove truck for CW Transport of Wisconsin Rapids for 25 years and later for Klemm Trucking for several years. Also, Arvin worked for Seneca Foods for over 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, football, basketball, and attending Sunday church services. He loved being with his family and enjoyed visiting with friends. He was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, Town of Deerfield and a longtime member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids. He is survived by one son, Roger (Amy) Bohn, Naples, Florida; one daughter, Donna (Kevin) Bohn-Moma, Decatur, IL.; three grandchildren, Christian and Jordan Bohn, Allison Moma; his special friend and former wife, Mary Ebert, Nekoosa; one brother, Edwin (Ruth) Bohn, Hancock. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers, Ervin Bohn and Alvin Bohn. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Town of Deerfield with the Rev. Dale W. Bahls officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
