Arlyn L. Kraning, age 86, formerly of Wautoma and South Milwaukee, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
She was born July 30, 1930 in South Milwaukee, the daughter of Herbert and Verna (Dinkelman) Thranow. She married Delmar E. Kraning on Jan. 13, 1951 at Zion Lutheran Church in South Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2002.
Arlyn and her late husband resided in South Milwaukee for many years before moving to Wautoma in 1997. She was employed as Librarian at South Milwaukee Library for many years. Arlyn enjoyed birdwatching and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two grandsons, Timothy (Shannon) Mueller, Saukville, Daniel (fiancée Amy Schult) Mueller, Saukville; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Kraning, Oak Creek; a niece, Terri (Daniel) Dena, Boston. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Rev. Frederick Mueller; and by her brother-in-law, Richard Kraning.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma.
Further services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in South Milwaukee. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Oak Creek.
