Arlouine L. Booth, age 88, of Wautoma, passed away Sunday morning, May 1, 2011 at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 18, 1922 in Spring Lake, the daughter of Jesse and Ella (Kropp) Rohde. She married Ronald Booth on June 4, 1943. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1995.
Arlouine graduated from Redgranite High School in 1937 and Waushara County Normal School in 1939. She continued her education at the Universities of Stevens Point and Oshkosh, where she received her teaching degree. She was a devoted teacher for 40 years. After retirement, Arlouine and Ron enjoyed many happy years in Tucson, Arizona.
Arlouine was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma and a past member at the Neshkoro and Oshkosh Methodist Churches, where she served on numerous committees, and shared her special love of music for years.
She is survived by two sons, Gary (Diane) Booth, Berlin, Neil (Lynette) Booth, Leadville, CO.; five grandchildren, Kelly (David) Weiland, Wautoma, Karalee (Jamie) Marks, Spring Lake, James (Sandra) Booth, Leadville, CO., Jeremy (Heidi) Booth, Oshkosh, Justin Booth; eight great grandchildren, Brent and Jeni Weiland, Kaylie and Braedyn Marks, Ronald Joseph, Andrew, Joshua and Julia Booth; two step great grandchildren, Alexis and Isaiha; two sisters, Viola (Dwayne) Daye, Neshkoro, Violet (Guss) Schlender, Florida; two brothers, Gilbert (Dusty) Rohde, Colorado, Jesse Rohde Jr., Texas; sister-in-law, Marge Rohde, Arizona; a half brother, Arnold (Donna) Rohde, Westfield; step sisters, Shirley Feakes, Wautoma, Lavilla (Chester) Weddell, Wautoma Nordean (Roy) Zimmerman, Fox Lake; further survived by her extended family at Heartland House, nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Harold; her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Orville Morris; her brother, Gerald and stepmother, Elma Rohde.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma with the Rev. George J. Kafer officiating. Burial will be in the Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Neshkoro. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
