Ardith E. Gau, age 90, of Hancock, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at St. Michael Hospital, Stevens Point.
She was born February 16, 1923 in Richland, Wisconsin the daughter of Carl and Bertha (Haskins) Walker. She married Roy W. Gau on September 21, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1995.
Ardith worked at the former Karl's IGA (now Copps) for 18 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Town of Deerfield, Waushara County.
She is survived by her daughter, Birdie (Steve) Sturdevant, Hancock; her grandson, Matthew (Barb) Sturdevant, Hancock; one great-granddaughter, Vivianna Grace Sturdevant; one sister, JoAnn (Fadell) Challoner, Wisconsin Rapids; further survived by other relatives and friends.
To honor Ardith's wishes, private family services will be held.
