Annette E. “Becky” Pomplin, age 83, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family Monday morning, Nov. 27, 2017 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose.
She was born June 8, 1934 in Illinois, the daughter of Keith and Florence (Anderson) Beckenbaugh. She married Wilbur H. Pomplin on Feb. 22, 1957 in Madison, WI. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1965.
Becky worked as secretary at the former Dafoe Elementary School in Wautoma, Waushara Argus and Wautoma City Hall until her retirement. She was very active in the Women and Junior Bowling Leagues in Wautoma for over 30 years. She and her family enjoyed spending the summer months at Wood Lake since 1958.
She is survived by three children, Daniel (Janis) Pomplin, Redgranite, Denise (Scott) Provost, Wisconsin Rapids, and Diana (Thad) Howard, Appleton; six grandchildren, Ian, Lea, Thomas, Matthew, Will, and Tess. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, especially Cheri and John Gehrke along with her special niece, Jean Jenks and her husband Roger.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles (Rosalie) Beckenbaugh; two sisters, Kathryn (Clyde) Saulisbury and Barbara (Eugene) Clark.
Private family services will be held at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. R. Alan Spitler officiating. Burial will be at Westfield East Cemetery in Westfield.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Rosemore Village in Wild Rose and Agnesian Hospice Hope for their care and compassion.
