Anna Schwersenska

August 22, 1933 — May 17, 2012

Anna Mae Schwersenska, age 78 of Coloma, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening May 17, 2012 at Wild Rose Hospital.

She was born on August 22, 1933 in the Township of Deerfield, Waushara County, the daughter of Joseph and Viola (Spaulding) Brown. Anna married Milferd R. Schwersenska on October 6, 1951. He preceded her in death.

Anna held various positions throughout her life; including setting bowling pins, waitressing, cooking, bartending, Christmas tree farming, potato farming, cleaning, babysitting, and running a local produce stand. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as working at the vegetable stand, taking trips to Nekoosa, singing karaoke, listening to music, going to rummage sales and tending to her beautiful flowers and garden. She will be greatly missed for the joy she provided to many by telling jokes, feeding people, meeting new people, and her love of life in general. Anna was a devoted and faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Richford.

She is survived by 9 children, Margie (David) Phipps of Coloma, Charles (Lynnea) Schwersenska of Westfield, Kathy Schwersenska of Coloma, Cindy Dunnett of Hancock, Milferd Jr. (Ginger) Schwersenska of Ashton, IL., Arthur ( Deborah) Schwersenska of Oshkosh, Jeannine Schwersenska of Hartford, Raymond ( Cyndi) Schwersenska of Hancock, Julie (Corey) Buchkowski of Coloma; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Anna is further survived by her two sisters, Eleanor (Roland) Burns of Las Vegas, NV and Kathy Jacobson of Rockford, IL., one brother Wilbur (Karen) Brown of Hancock, three brothers- in- law Alvin Meyer of Nekoosa, Harold Schafer of Almond, Howard (LaVeila) Schwersenska of Coloma, three sisters- in- law, Susan (Douglas) France of Muscoda, Judith Brown of Hancock and Neoma Schwersenska of Westfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her father and mother- in- law Arthur (Esther) Schwersenska, two sisters Betty Meyer and Doris Schafer, six brothers Joseph, George, Howard, Arleigh, Hollis and John Brown, one sister- in- law Ruth Schwersenska two brothers- in- law Vern Jacobson and Marlin Schwersenska and one grandchild Amanda Schwersenska.

Funeral Services for Anna Mae Schwersenska will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00am in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Town of Richford with Rev. Blaine Niskanen and Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Town of Richford Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday evening at the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of services at the Church.
