Ann T. "Nanie" Podoll, age 87, of Berlin, formerly of the Wautoma area, left for heaven on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at American House in Berlin.
Nanie was born July 24, 1924 in Eureka, the daughter of Frank and Julia (Traeder) Malson. She married Arden E. "Blondie" Podoll on November 24, 1949 in Berlin. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1988.
Nanie enjoyed spending time with friends and family. When she was younger, she enjoyed fishing, dancing, playing baseball and having a good time all around. She was always there for everyone and you always knew she'd be there for you with a kind word, hug, a soda and snack ready to go.
She was member of St. Stanislaus in Berlin and had a strong belief in God and walked to Church daily when she was able to.
We all loved her very much for many reasons and she will always be in our hearts and thoughts until we find the path she made for us.
Nanie will be missed greatly by her family including, Jo Ann
(Daniel Sr.) Verburgt; She was a grandmother in every sense of the word to Bonnie and David Krause, Barbara Verburgt, Daniel and Rhonda Verburgt, Jr, Matt Verburgt and Randy Howard, Troy Verburgt, Casey Wolff, Jacob and Jennifer Krause, Sarah Krause and Teddy Butler, Elizabeth Verburgt, Edmund Verburgt, Danielle Le Beau, and all of their children. Many others will share in our loss, including Irene Kallas, Sally and Duane Stanke, Mickey and Lou Ann Kallas and many more relatives and friends.
She will also be missed by her many friends from American House, whom she enjoyed spending time, especially wrapping silverware for everyone at "home".
Nanie will follow a path made to heaven by her husband Arden "Blondie", her mother and father Frank and Julia (Traeder) Malson, her brothers and sisters, Margaret "Mug", Fabian "Fob", Florence, Stanley "Stan", Edmund "Pete" and Regina "Gina".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11:00am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma with Rev. Robert Stegmann officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Berlin.
