Alice Mae Downs, age 84, of Wautoma, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 24, 2012 at Wild Rose Manor.
She was born October 3, 1927 in Pickett, the daughter of Benjamin and Mertie (Ludwig) Downs.
Alice resided in Pickett for many years until moving to Oshkosh to take care of and live with her mother. After her mother's death, Alice moved to the Wautoma area and worked at Waushara Industries. She actively participated in arts and crafts at the Senior Center and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
Alice is survived by her nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is further survived by her dear friends Mary Lou Peterson and Joey Anthony and other special friends she met throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wesley and Neal Downs.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 7:00pm in the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with Rev. Robert Stegmann officiating.
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00pm until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
