Agnes O. Heck, age 87, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully Monday morning, Nov. 13, 2017 at Heartland House in Wautoma.
She was born Feb. 17, 1930 at Two Inlet, MN, the daughter of Peter and Theresa (Ledermann) Esser. She married Charles M. “Chuck” Heck on May 2, 1960 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portage, WI. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2014.
Agnes and her late husband resided in Ripon for 12 years before moving to Wautoma in 1972. She was employed by Dr. Donald Nelson at Town and Country Veterinary Clinic in Wautoma for many years. Later, she worked at the Waushara County Clerk of Courts Office until her retirement in 1995. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.
Aggie was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma. She was active in many church functions and enjoyed being a member of the Council of Catholic Women. She also belonged to Waushara Area Women’s Club.
She is survived by five children, Peter (Elizabeth) Heck, Appleton, John (Kathleen) Heck, Darboy, Therese Winkelmann, Germantown, James Heck, Wautoma, and Mark (Jennifer) Heck, Pulaski; nine grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Hilary Heck, Waukesha; three sisters-in-law, Jane Lindemann, Brookfield, Ann Roethe, Manitowoc, Annette Heck, Egg Harbor. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Paul; her parents, and by six siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. David F. Greskowiak officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
