It is with great sadness that the family of Adeline M. Schmit announces her passing on March 14, 2012 in Dodge Center, Minnesota.
She was born October 27, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Dominic Matykanis and Marianna Matykanis. She married Melvin Schmit. He preceded her in death.
Adeline was a long-time resident of Bancroft where she and Melvin farmed. Adeline enjoyed attending her church, singing in the choir, playing cards, cribbage, cooking and gardening.
Adeline is survived by her son-in-law, Steve Crull, Claremont, MN; four grandchildren, Tom Crull, Claremont, MN, Michael Crull, St. Paul, MN., Kathi Edeling, Victorville, CA., Melinda Eggleston, St. Paul, MN., three great grandchildren, William Crull, Jaclyn Edeling and Scott Edeling.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the St. Martin's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
